Opera Browser New Android App Now Supports Bitcoin Payments


Opera browser has added support for bitcoin payments to its latest Android 54 App version.

It was announced on July 10, in an official blog post that the added functionality means Android users can send and receive bitcoins via the browser's built-in cryptocurrency wallet.

The browser has also added support for the TRON blockchain and TRON decentralized apps (DApps) to its Android app.

Opera has also already supported Ether (ETH) and ERC standard tokens, the company's blog post implies that bringing bitcoin support to Web 3.0 will encourage the asset to be used not only for speculation and the storage of value but for payments.
