Vitalik Buterin: Meta's (Facebook) metaverse attempt will misfire

The co-founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin has expressed his feelings that giant tech companies like Meta (Facebook) attempting Metaverse would "misfire" having a difficult time establishing their foundations.

Vitalik said this while responding to a tweet from Dialectic co-founder Dean Eigenmann, who believes venture capitalists may be wrong about what constitutes an ideal Metaverse.
Facebook's parent company, Meta, was renamed in late 2021 as part of a shift to embrace the Metaverse, making it the most well-known business participant to date to date to express interest in the metaverse.

Major corporations have also adopted the metaverse approach as part of their growth strategy. The Sandbox and Decentraland have achieved some degree of success in the sector, but major businesses have also adopted the metaverse method as part of their plan to expand.

However, in Vitalik opinion, many of these businesses attempting to build Metaverse are going anywhere.
