Dogecoin is now talk of the town as the meme coin keeps rising in value.

Dogecoin is the talk of the town now as the meme coin keeps impressing people with its rise in value in the crypto space over the last couple of weeks. A late April, a selloff put the cryptocurrency's earlier rise in jeopardy, but strength reemerged and sent prices higher once again. The immediate move appeared to be guided higher by its 9-day EMA (blue line ) before rocketing higher over the last 48 hours.

A move higher will likely see an intraday level of resistance seen earlier this week at the 0.60 psychological level. The 161.8% Fibonacci extension level would serve as a prompt resistance level and then the 261.8% Fib extension just above the psychological levels at the 70 and 80 handles.

Alternatively, a move lower would likely back up to the late April high before the aforementioned 9-day EMA analysed by Thomas Westwater.

However, in the mix of rising Dogecoin price, rumours have emerged that KFC Canada is accepting Dogecoin, following a tweet from the company published earlier today.

It was gathered that in April, KFC Canada announced free delivery on orders over $35. Today, one customer responded: "Can I buy with my DOGE please" and the KFC Canada Twitter handler answered, "We accept cash, card, and dogecoin."

The tweet received a lot of retweets and comments and the news was picked by several News sites.

It is not clear if the fast-food chain is truly accepting Dogecoin or any other cryptocurrency because the KFC website does not show an option to pay with Dogecoin yet. Rather, it only shows options to pay by credit card and Google Pay.
