Ethereum Co-founder Quitting Crypto for the fear of his safety

Anthony-Di-lorio

One of Ethereum's co-founders has announced that he is quitting the world of crypto- in part because he fears for his safety.

Di lorio is one of the eight people who co-founded Ethereum, with Vitalik Buterin perhaps serving as the best known.

Antony Dilorio has had a security team for the past four years, meaning that there's someone travelling with him wherever he goes. The 48-year-old told the news outlet Bloomberg.

"It's got a risk profile that I am not too enthused about. I don't feel necessary safe in this space. If I was focused on larger problems, I think I'd be safer."

Di lorio founded the Canada-based software development company Decentral, but he's now planning to sell it. He estimates it could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars, yet plans to sell it for cash or equity rather than crypto.

He further explained that he won't be involved in funding any further blockchain projects says:

"I want to diversify to not being a crypt guy, but being a guy tackling complex problems."

also described crypto as a "small percentage of what the world needs."

However, a growing number of entrepreneurs and developers who were involved in the early days of crypto have ended up taking a step back such as Dogecoin co-creator Jackson Palmer was one of them -and just last week, he wrote on Twitter that he had no plans to return to the crypto space at all.
