LUNA 2.0 Airdrop on newly launched Terra Blockchain




Terra had successfully Launched its new Blockchain fork to revive the old LUNA that collapse earlier this month.

Terra form Labs announced on Twitter to confirm that Terra had started producing blocks on the newly-named "Phoenix-1" MainNet. It launched at 06:00UTC, with the new token airdrop for previous LUNA and UST holders.

 The new Terra network will inherit the deep developer pool and passionate LUNAtic community that made Terra Classic the 2nd largest smart contract Blockchain behind Ethereum. 

As the community migrates to the new chain, most of the popular Terra Classic projects will be joining them, including:

As part of the transition to Terra 2.0, new LUNA coins are now named "LUNC and its new Stablecoin called USTC" and will be airdropped to the old LUNA and aUST holders based on the two snapshots outlined in the Terra Ecosystem Revival Plan.

According to the distribution plan, 70% of the new token allocation will be airdropped to previous LUNA, UST, and aUST holders (aUST represented UST tokens staked in Anchor Protocol, Terra's flagship DeFi protocol that offered investors 20% yields on their stablecoins).

Terraform Labs received no tokens from the drop. Eligible addresses could claim the airdrop through the Terra website, and it was also supposed on several major exchanges.

Binance crypto exchange platform announced it will list Terra 2.0 in the innovation zone and will open trade for LUNA on May 31.

Other cryptocurrency exchange platforms are expected to follow suit as time goes on.
