Solana Network is under attack as over 5000 wallets have been drained.

Solana network has reportedly under attack as thousands of its wallets have been drained, the attackers are continuing to transfer funds out of various individual wallets as we speak, and it doesn't seem the source of the exploit has been identified.

SOL, the native token of the Solana network has dropped in value after the news of over 5,000 Solana wallets has been drained in the past few hours.

"This affects multiple wallets- Phantom, slope, Solflare, TrustWallet- across a wide variety of platforms. FOR USERS, please move your assets to a hardware ledger or a centralized exchange".
Said per blockchain auditor OtterSec adding that

"there's also been evidence of this issue affecting ETH users, although it seems less widespread."

A Twitter user named Justin Barlow confirmed the incident as he lament his USDC had been drained.
However, A spokesperson for Solana Labs Austin Federa said that ongoing investigations into the breach currently indicate that there is "no evidence" that Solana's network is at fault for the exploit.

He made it known that "Engineers from multiple ecosystems with the help of several security firms are investigating drained wallets on Solana Network. There is no evidence hardware wallets are impacted."
